Class III Biological Safety Cabinet (Class III BSC):
Class III BSCs are sometimes referred to as “gloveboxes” or “glove cabinets.” They are gas-tight containment systems that are totally enclosed. In a Class III BSC, the operator wears gloves that are connected to the cabinet, and all contents are routed via a double-door pass-through box to ensure airtight containment. To ensure total containment of hazardous compounds, the entire cabinet is under negative pressure, and the air is HEPA-filtered before being expelled.
